Windows 7 audio problems

Is anyone any good at Windows 7 ? I have the full Ultimate 64 bit version installed on an Acer 8930G, everything works ok apart from sound. It seems to click a lot, even when it shouldn't be. I'm not going to blame the problems on Windows 7 though because it is only a release candidate. The point of a release candidate is the OS is finished now it is just one last debug on things that testers can't think of- things like 14 year old games ....
