Two Theories Of Cognitive Development

“Cognitive development is the development of the mind – the part of the brain that is used for recognizing, reasoning, knowing and understanding” Many specialists have studied this area of development over the years, including, Piaget, Bruner, Vygotsky and Skinner. There are also approaches to cognitive development which are based on comparing the human mind to a computer, rather than being based on the ideas a single theorist. The theory being, that humans break down problems into a series of sBy applying an organised system of work that replaces good intentions with method, we are able to define and then record our systems and organization. This pinpoints the responsibilities of every individual in carrying out their duties, encourages continuous improvement and consolidates process management.

Connectivism squares with our experience

This week was an exciting one for us -  ChinesePod published lesson number 1,000 .  Around all these learning objects we have had tens of thousands of conversation threads, questions, answers, and comments. There are some serious connections getting formed out there.
