... . Exhibits always look so good when all the quilts are the same size and shape. I was really bummed that my camera battery ran out before I got to the Rosalie Dace South Africa exhibit. Such cool work! The Los Hilos de la Vida exhibit was very moving and I was glad to get to see it in person after reading about it online. ... ... in the shop. I love this quilt and its happy colours. This wonderful quilt is by South African quiltmaker Odette Tolksdorf. She and her fellow teacher from SA, Rosalie Dace, were invited for the first time to the AQC this year and their classes were eagerly taken by as many as could get in, including myself and ... ... zone and purchased fabrics that are quite different for me: I can't wait to get creating!: We are also lucky enough to be having a one day class with Rosalie Dace, a South African Quilter. She loves fabrics of all descriptions and so for her class I have collected silks from Italy and India, organzas, and WAY too many ...

... And, so after another even later night, we managed to head off to a class with South African Quilter, Rosalie Dace. This was a design class and it was very exciting to sit and listen to some great inspiration from Rosalie. I got about this far, and did another abstract quilt design: Rosalie works with lots of different fabrics and embellishments and I had so much fun just ' ... ... was what teachers we'd want to bring to us. We created our wishlist, without regard to where in the world these people are or whether they'd ever come. Our list included Rosalie Dace, Kaffe Fassett, Kerr Grabowski, Jan Myers-Newbury, Cynthia Corbin, and more.Who would be on your ultimate workshop wishlist? ... eat or just have fun in them.  In this workshop, Rosalie Dace, our creative leader, led us through the value of trees in a figurative and literal sense.  We ... to have four days to examine one concept was heaven.  Rosalie encouraged us to think before working (which everyone did ... with me...come swing!!! ... nice as well.  The booths were filled with gorgeous, and I mean gorgeous, quilts.  Way to go Victorian Quilters...I had the lucky adventure of spending four days with Rosalie Dace.  Having heard she was wonderful I was booked in before I knew what to expect. Not being an "art quilter" I fell into a world that made my brain and ... I am an artist who is passionate about design, color, pattern and texture. My medium is quiltmaking and I love looking at, feeling and working with fabric and other textiles.
