In 1919, inspired by his friends Kandinsky, Kamensky, and Chlebnikov, he left Moscow to bring his lofty and rather naive ideas of the new ...Stumbled on this one sometime Wednesday.  It’s been something of an annoyance that for the last several weeks the "transcript" links at the event homepages of the American Enterprise Institute appear to have all been broken. But it would seem that someone at AEI kept a copy of the entire pre-conversion tree for the event pages in an accessible but obscure place at the Institute. Anyway, I’m finally finished with an initial pass through what appears to be the whole set. Doomers, enjoy, ther

Porky's menu features…uh, let the name speak for itself, along with burgers and other meaty items. Our imaginations can only wander as we think of what might take place during the veg revolution. HISTORICAL COMMENTS BY GEORGE CHEVALLIER

Parsons Cemetery A brief history The history of Parsons Cemetery has many twists that may never be unraveled. The burial of a horse and the identity of several plots are just two of the mysteries. A pamphlet about the history of the cemetery exists and is an excellent source of many of the facts about the cemetery to this point in time. While the majority of the land at Parsons was originally bequeathed to St. Peter’s Church by Benjamin Parsons, there was apparently a cem

So This Is How Its Done

Hey, wait, Fridays are supposed to be slow news days. You know, things wind down, everyone heads home. But this was interesting : President Obama and his allies raced Friday to use their revelation of a secret Iranian nuclear enrichment plant as long-sought leverage against Tehran, demanding that the country allow highly intrusive international inspections and propelling the confrontation with Tehran to a new and volatile pitch. In a day of high drama at an economic summit meeting, AmWhen I did a Google search for this - Iran nuclear missiles 1992 It gives a bunch of other very interesting information - http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/iran/facility/lavizan.htm including this - Sources and Resources Iran has up to 4 nuclear bombs By STEVE RODAN Jerusalem Post 09 April 1999 — Iranian Revolutionary Guards official quotes an engineer identified as Turkan as saying that the nuclear warheads are being stored in the Lavizan military camp in the Teheran area.

The Era of the American Revolution

Beginning with the Proclamation of 1763, British interference commenced and signaled the end of salutary neglect in the colonies; British taxation fertilized the seeds of unrest in the colonies, leading to increased tension, which initiated the Revolutionary War and culminated with the transition from a Confederation to a Federal Union. In a public address, Charles Gravier expressed the following sentiment: “The American colonies stand no longer in need of England’s protection. En

William Bradley Obamas Summiteering High Altitude Headaches and Rumors of War

As any hiker knows, high altitudes often lead to headaches, and President Barack Obama has had a few at his New York summits. They center around AfPak, the perennial question of Israel and Palestine, and Iran. And today the latter went front and center, with war a real possibility in the wake of this morning's revelation of a secret Iranian nuclear facility. President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, and French President Nicolas Sarkozy appeared together this morning to chWait a minute: Do 8 months of self-mortification and public pleading -- to the point of swallowing whole its bloody brutality to its own people -- on behalf of the peaceful applications of the Iranian nuclear program while in full possession of intelligence on its hidden nuclear facility not make liars of our no-more-politics-as-usual archetype-of-moral-superiority president and his finger-wagging goody-two-shoes of a secretary of state? Did You Know The Mobile Revolution is Here

Posted on September 14, 2009, “Did You Know 4.0″ already has about 300,000 YouTube views and you can bet it’s headed for viral status as were its predecessors. The video was put together in advance of the third annual Media Convergence Conference in New York City, 20-21 October, 2009. Unlike its predecessors, the focus of this version is NOT specifically on education, but it still “speaks” to education in my view as well as our society more generally. Both Karl Fisch and Scott McLeod This week’s  highlights from the World of Mobile Learning: Mobile Learning Stuff: Did You Know 4.0 has been online for about 10 days now. Another interesting iteration of the Did You Know videos, with Karl Fisch and Scott McLeod providing background information on their blogs. The mobile revolution is here! Learning Is an SMS Away: Mobile Phones in Education is an interesting article about how mobile phones are being used in Africa to connect educators.
