From the case files of Hope Jones girl detective

Straight out of last week's girl detective discussion , Laurel Snyder introduced fictional character Hope Jones as the girl detective who has not yet been created. We all played around a little in the comments with what adventures Hope could have as a 21st century version of the classic character. But I've been thinking more about the many things that came up in that discussion, about the relatively simple and tame nature of Nancy Drew and the more serious world girls live in today. Is there roI’ve now left DC and am in New York. I will be back in DC for their Independence Day party on the 4th of July. Before I move onto NYC stuff, a wrap-up of the political stuff in DC.
