By SouthernFriedInfidel Staff Writer I guess I can relate more and more to my father these days. He got left behind when popular music morphed from Big Bands and Lawrence Welk into early Rock-n-Roll. He apparently never missed being out of touch, though he could appreciate a few songs from time to time. My own experience is that rap music is not worth my time. So I totally missed the emergence of "horrorcore" rap. The photo today is from 1903 This is The Family House. Though actually the family didn’t own it until 1942. My maternal grandmother bought this house while my grandfather was off in the Pacific fighting the Japanese. Apparently it was an incredibly good deal & she wrote to ask him if they should spend their savings on it. But mail took weeks to travel to and from people in the military and my grandmother had to act without hearing from him. It was a 4 square style home, cinThe black and white television sat in a corner of our living room facing an old couch and two well-used parlor chairs.  I'm not quite sure which one of my parents advocated for its purchase or how they arranged for the financing.
