I just finished watching a two hour PBS special on neuroscience, evolution and music.  Pretty interesting stuff.  The guests interviewed fell into two groups: Scientists and Musicians. The musicians featured on the show-- and they're featured heavily-- were with one notable exception taken from the Pop Classical world. Bobby McFerrin, Evelyn Glennie, Yo-Yo Ma etc.  The exception? Jarvis Cocker who was never interviewed and had less than Habe gerade “ Touch the Sound ” auf dem Beamer des Liebsten angesehen. Toller Film. So still und doch so laut. Ein Film über eine Schlagzeugerin , die zu 80% taub ist, aber eine großartige Musikerin. Nach dem Film höre ich plötzlich noch mehr als sonst schon. Erstaunlich. Ein sehr feinfühliger Film. Ich mag sowas ja. Also: Prädikat = empfehlenswert. Und wieder einmal fällt mir auf, wie ich die Stille der Nacht liebe. Und wieviele Geräusche es trotzdem noch zu hören gibt.
