The real Gordon Brown

Fellow Fifer Tom Brown was a cub reporter when he first met the future Prime Minister, then a primary schoolboy. Diversity in Science Carnival Viva

Back from a couple of month hiatus, the Diversity in Science Carnival is being hosted this month by DrugMonkey ! This month's carnival honors Hispanic scientists and coincides with National Hispanic Heritage Month.  HHM was first established as an observance by Lyndon Johnson in 1968 lengthened to a full month by Ronald Reagan in 1988.  It covers the 30 days between September 15th and October 15th.  It might seem odd to have a month of observation begin and end in the middle of two cale

The Conscience of the Digital Citizen

A Visualization of the Internet Tell me if you’ve heard this all before. I’d imagine online life was simple back then, back when the The Mentor and his kind discovered the computer, then travelled the electron, and the switch and started to marvel at the beauty of the baud. It was a simpler time because it was a world without skin color, without nationality, without religious bias. It was a world where people judge others for what they say and think, not what they look like. It was a realm
